This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $1,500. *Must be new to state service in order to be eligible*
Western State Hospital is seeking a Full Time Housekeeping and Apparel Worker I who will provide a safe, sanitary, and attractive environment for patients, staff, and visitors to our facility. Duties will include a variety of housekeeping tasks such as: cleaning, vacuuming, floor buffing, dusting, emptying trash cans, sweeping, and supplying bathrooms. Hours: 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Rotating weekends and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful applicant will have general knowledge of housekeeping procedures. Must have demonstrated ability to be trained to operate housekeeping equipment (vacuum, buffer, floor scrubber, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in housekeeping environment preferred. Bi-Lingual English and Spanish is preferred. High School graduate or GED preferred.
