Responsibilities:
- Performs overall supervision of the deep night shift.
- Ensures proper usage of chemicals and equipment.
- Use proper two-way radio and/or cell phone etiquette when communicating with other team members.
- Ensures that appropriate equipment is distributed to Overnight Housekeeping employees and that it is maintained in proper operating order.
- Assist in cleaning all public restrooms, offices & classrooms throughout the property removing trash, vacuuming, and dusting as necessary.
- Maintains and evaluates cleanliness standards according to procedures.
- Inspects and updates status of all meeting rooms, public spaces and areas assigned.
- Alerts any relevant discrepancies to front desk daily before the end of shift.
- Turns in maintenance requests daily.
- Follows up on Overnight Housekeeping assignments daily.
- Trains and follows up on Overnight Housepersons.
- Facilitate daily pre-shift meetings in absence of Manager.
- Assist in coaching & disciplining department employees, when necessary.
- Routinely inspects all back of the house areas for safety, sanitation, and maintenance standards.
- Assists in cost control and payroll.
- Assists in maintaining supply inventories.
- Recommends changes in operating procedures of the department.
- Perform Lost & Found duties according to hotel standards.
- Perform other housekeeping duties as requested from management.
- Communicates effectively with the Overnight Housekeeping Manager about activities progress and issues if any.
- This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma and one year of job-related experience.
- Previous hotel/resort and opening experience a plus.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English. Bi-lingual skills a plus but not required.
- Must be able to abide by the company appearance standards and compliance with the designated uniform.
- Dedicated to exceeding service standards and providing services and standards to the highest caliber.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to work the overnight shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and use hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and work the majority of shift on feet.
