Responsibilities:
Seeking a
Housing Specialist
to join our interdisciplinary clinical team working with individuals diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or General Mental Health diagnosis under Court Ordered Treatment at our 51st Ave Healthcare Clinic.
NEW Bonus Plan!
Full-Time: 40 hours/week
Location: 51st Ave. and Cambelback Rd. in Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: Monday - Friday (no weekends or on-call required)
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus (Additional Language Differential Pay Available)
Duties include:
- Participates as a member of multiple interdisciplinary clinical teams working with individuals diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness, or General Mental Health diagnosis under Court Ordered Treatment
- Provides direct services to facilitate client access to housing opportunities, address housing permanency, and support independent living in a community setting to clients served within Terros Health Recovery Centers
- Works in conjunction with the client and clinical team staff to assess client needs and wants, assist the member in locating housing of their choice, and accessing affordable, safe, decent, and permanent housing
- Supports clients in protecting their tenancy rights
- Participates in the development of individual service plans, acts as a client advocate and liaisons with families and community agencies
- Serves as primary point of contact between the RBHA, inpatient settings, and Recovery Center regarding housing needs for clients

Bachelors in a related field or equivalent education and experience
-
3 years’ behavioral health experience required

3 years working as housing specialist preferred

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, electronic medical record, NextGen preferred

Interpersonal skills which allow for professional and positive relationships with co-workers, members, families, and other community members

Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions

Basic understanding of the DSM-V; Knowledge of SAMHSA Permanent Supported Housing and Housing First philosophy preferred
- Must have a valid Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance card or able to apply for one within 7 working days of employment
- Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy
- Must pass background check, TB test and other pre-employment screening
