Under general guidance, the Human Resources Specialist will assist with employee recruitment, training, and fostering a healthy and engaging work culture.
Position Responsibilities:
- Research and recommend opportunities for community outreach, engagement, and partnerships that support our talent acquisition and people first strategies.
- Coordinate efforts to develop and enhance our people first culture and employer brand through corporate responsibility, employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and celebration and recognition programs.
- Partner with marketing department to align social media, signage, advertising, and promotion related to recruitment and company culture activities and initiatives.
- Administer the internship program and campus recruiting. Work with Imperial department heads to determine need and actively recruit on campuses to fill roles. Evaluate and revise program as necessary to support organizational growth.
- Organize and participate in college job fairs and various recruiting/hiring events.
- Assist with talent acquisition efforts as needed. Work with recruiters on posting and advertising processes, screening applications, and selecting qualified candidates, scheduling interviews, preparing interview questions and other hiring and selection materials. Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process regarding start dates and other pertinent details.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
Minimum Education: Associate degree in human resources or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Experience: 1-3 years of office experience with substantial amount of discretion/decision making in day-to-day responsibilities.
What will put you ahead? Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field. 1-3 years of full cycle recruiting experience and exposure to high volume recruitment activity. Strong organizational and collaboration skills.
