Human Resources Assistant

This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to begin or expand your developing Human Resources career. In this position, you will provide administrative assistance with the employee life cycle of activities from recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, etc. You must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.


**This position will work remotely however you will need to be within commuting distance to our Wakefield, MA, and Portsmouth, NH offices as you will have responsibilities associated with being in the office on occasion.


What You'll Do

  • Assist in the hiring and recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
  • Assist in new employee orientation programs and onboarding activities, including preparing paperwork, and scheduling training sessions.
  • Complete the biweekly payroll and associated reporting
  • Maintain employee records, including updating information in the HRIS systems
  • Assist with planning and execution of company events, programs, etc.
  • Coordinate and/or support various HR department initiatives and programs as needed.
  • Assist with office management.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Provide administrative assistance to HR Director and Administrative/Finance team

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • 2+ years of office assistant experience
  • Strong time-management and people skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with online platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and Google Suite with the aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Experience with Confluence, Jira, and BambooHR preferred
  • Engaging personality and optimistic outlook
  • Experience developing internal systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information
