Human Resources Coordinator (AA2) - HR Cluster Hybrid Work Opportunity Job at Stanford University
We invite you to consider joining our team as a Human Resources Coordinator in the School of Medicine Human Resources Cluster (HRC). The HR Coordinator role is a critical position providing HR administrative support to the departments supported by the HRC team. The HR Coordinator will collaborate with local HR partners and will gain knowledge as a system expert user in Stanford University’s Human Resource (HR) systems such as PeopleSoft HRIS and Taleo Applicant Tracking. The position is integral in ensuring accuracy and data integrity at the highest level while using Stanford HR systems in a fast-paced environment where it is essential that the HR Coordinator work independently while managing the heavy workload and multiple competing projects.
The HR Coordinator will report directly to the Manager, HRC. This position will be based at the Stanford Redwood City campus (https://redwoodcity.stanford.edu/) and will be considered as a hybrid of working on-site and off-site.

Duties Include:
- Serve as a resource on human resources issues, effectively communicate human resources policies, and explain human resources processes and procedures. Resolve basic issues as appropriate. Refer other issues to human resources manager/director or supervisor for resolution.
- Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, interview scheduling, applicant disposition, and offer packet creation with hiring managers, human resources staff, and/or supervisors.
- Support and coordinate employment activities (transactions and documentation). Assist in onboarding and exit process of staff, as needed.
- Coordinate and/or perform HRIS data management activities, including initiating transactions and running reports for compliance, audit, and metrics purposes. Ensure data integrity for identifying and resolving pay issues.
- Perform time and leave administration duties such as sending time entry reminders and reviewing staff time cards
- Maintain personnel and human resources related files.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment; obtain vendor quotations, as needed. Coordinate office moves.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two or four-year degree.
- Previous experience working in Human Resources, Payroll and/or in an academic setting.
- Working knowledge of HRIS (PeopleSoft), HR and/or Payroll systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
High school diploma and three years of administrative experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
- Proficient computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
- Demonstrated success in following through and completing routine tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Frequently sitting.
- Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl.

The expected pay range for this position is $58,000 to $74,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
