Human Resources Generalist (Associate to Intermediate)
Arbor Research Collaborative for Health seeks two experienced HR Generalists to join our HR team. These candidates will include an Associate and Immediate level to provide all HR related functions and programs.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Arbor Research policies; support efforts to ensure legal compliance for all HR related functions and programs; effectively communicate policies and regulations to employees.
- Provide general HR administrative assistance, including but not limited to updating and creating reports and job descriptions, facilitation of employee mailings and communication pieces.
Associate Level Responsibilities
- Lead recruiting efforts, including working with managers to understand staffing needs, posting new positions, screening candidate resumes and scheduling interviews, meeting-and-greeting incoming candidates, answering general questions, and maintaining all recruitment related records including AAP applicant data
- Assist HR leadership with managing work eligibility for employees
- Lead the employee onboarding process; conduct assigned portions of new hire orientation
- Responsible for data entry into HRIS and related spreadsheets; creation and upkeep of accurate and consistent employee records (electronic and paper files)
- Coordinate and execute staff morale events and meetings
- Lead the design and implementation of employee recognition practices
- Lead the staff departure process
- Lead the monitoring of compliance posters; develop a general knowledge of employment law and how it applies to the organization
Intermediate Level Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive learning and development program in line with the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Design and maintain organization’s selected learning management system (LMS)
- Ensure provision of appropriate training opportunities for staff, using a combination of tools such as off-site training, mentor/mentee opportunities, and organizational in-service.
- Coordinate registrations and/or arrangements for all staff training activities; maintain records of attended activities and obtain feedback.
- Track and communicate new employee performance evaluations; manage the annual all-staff evaluation process.
- Assist with employee relations issues
- Assist with organizational compensation practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus at least two (2) years’ experience in Human Resources, including either recruitment or learning and development
- Demonstrated performance with a very high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, discretion, and confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both formal and informal
- Demonstrated ability to provide exemplary customer service
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and maintain focused work in a high volume, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities
- Experience with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS), including report creation
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently, with little to no supervision, as well as in a team environment
Desirable Qualifications

- Government Contractor experience
- SHRM certification
Salary Range
$50,000 - $70,000

Arbor Research employees are currently located in 13 states across the US. At present, the majority of our employees work remotely from their home.
