A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
As our Human Resources Generalist, you handle a variety of human resources tasks including hiring/interviewing candidates, administering pay, benefits, PTO, and reconciling monthly billing statements. Employing your exceptional organizational skills, you process and update paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classifications, salary increases, and other related files. You also help prepare HR reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
In this position, your stellar interpersonal skills to excel in this position are a necessity. You are the first point of contact at the Town Club for HR-related matters, handling tier 1 requests and escalating employee relations. You answer frequently asked questions from candidates and employees about standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc., and refer more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management. Your open-door policy provides a safe place for employees to go to resolve workplace issues and concerns. This has helped you to foster a positive labor/management relationship.
You assist with cultural and special event activities such as planning and execution of benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of administrative assistant experience in an HR environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Knowledge of how to operate general office equipment
- Physical ability to lift up to 15 lbs and prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Proficient with the human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications
- Bilingual English/Spanish is highly recommended
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in HR Management (or related field of study) OR equivalent work experience preferred
Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
Experience with Paylocity HRIS is a plus
