We are looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Waukesha team. A DSP provides direct care support services for our clients in order to maximize the individual’s potential. Following Individual Service Plans and Behavioral Support Plans, a DSP is focused on providing services that enhance the overall health, safety, and welfare of the clients.

Responsibilities Include:

• Support our clients in accordance with their Individual Service Plan
• Perform health monitoring, medication administration, meal prep, personal care and light housekeeping
• Build community relationships through recreational activities
• Follow Behavioral Support Plan and redirect challenging behaviors
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients, interacting with them in a sincere and meaningful way while maintaining a caregiver – client relationship.
• Additional responsibilities as outlined by management

Availability:

• Full-Time / Part-Time
• 2nd & 3rd shift available

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation to and from programs and training classes
• Ability to work with individuals with special needs or willingness to learn
• Communication & Problem-Solving skills
• Successful completion of a caregiver background check, TB test and Health Screen
• Some positions may require valid driver’s licenseand acceptable driving record
