DUTIES:

• Operate and maintain high pressure boiler, plumbing and electric facilities.
• Maintain facility to include the repair of windows, doors, roof, floors, stairways, construct shop partitions, bins, racks, pallets. Ensure all equipment is properly oiled, lubricated and in good working order. Operate all maintenance machinery and related tools/equipment in a safe manner.
• Diagnose and repair all production machinery, power and hand tools. Replace bearings, spindles and other related components. Hook up and dismantle, relocate and test various machines.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing problems such as gauges, valve and pressure regulators. Install new plumbing as required. Operate all available plumbing equipment and tools in a safe manner.
• Install electric wiring and fixtures per recognized electrical codes and standards. Utilize all available electrical testing equipment. Have ability to read and interpret wiring schematics and to perform electrical control logic troubleshooting. To have knowledge of PLC control systems as used in motion control and processing equipment.
• Perform welding and brazing processes for repair, modification and fabrication of machinery and /or equipment.
• Design and fabricate guards, various bracketing attachments, and special projects. Work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, specifications and instruction manuals. Use all measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, rules, etc.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering personnel on problems relating to faulty equipment, process, or any unusual conditions which may affect safety, production or the general operation of company facilities or equipment.
• To be able to establish and maintain preventive maintenance program on all relevant equipment.
• To utilize outsourced vendors whenever cost or time effective to keep facility / equipment operating properly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years Maintenance Experience
• Basic computer skills (office suite) and diagnostic software
• Strong Electrical background capable of diagnosing and repairing any facility \ machine electrical issues
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams/schematics

Preferred, not required:

• Basic knowledge of machine tooling and fixturing
• Thorough understanding and acceptance of company goals and objectives
• People skills, able to multitask, able to communicate effectively under pressure,

able to communicate effectively with operators and managers

• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Quality systems
• Exposure to safety program
• 5S Experience a plus
• Taking part or leading a Kaizen event is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.34 - $30.71 per hour
