We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team in Puyallup, WA.
Our Maintenance Technicians maintain and repair mechanical/electrical/boiler systems within a manufacturing environment. They are also responsible for the execution of capital projects (installation, dismantling of equipment) and other various maintenance tasks throughout the facility.
Job Responsibilities:

• Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work
• Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems
• Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair
• Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures
• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists
• Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information
• Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance
• Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations
• Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies
• Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas
• Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: This position spends the majority of time inside in a manufacturing environment (90%) and the remainder working outside (10%). There are some variables in the atmosphere that this position is exposed to – fumes, odors, dust, and poor ventilation. This position also deals with special hazards: mechanical, electrical, and chemical. Typical hours are Sunday through Thursday, 9:30 p.m. – 6a.m., with potential overtime and weekend work.

Business is cyclical and will require flexibility in shift hours and days of the week worked.Carlisle is offering a $3,000 sign on bonus to be paid in increments over 90, 180, 270 days of employment.

• Education – High School diploma or GED required
• At least 2 years of related maintenance experience
• Previous experience in the following maintenance areas preferred: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler
• Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures
• Knowledge of various hand and power tools
• Prior experience operating a forklift
• Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information
• Effective communication and problem solving skills
• Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, education verification (if applicable), reference check, and physical abilities test (PAT).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.65 - $38.00 per hour
