Infusion / Injection Nurse-PRN

BrightStar Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide infusion nursing care for our home bound patients in the Harris County, Galveston County and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide thoughtful care to client & patients based on Plan of Care
• Proactively updated client/patients’ family on plan of care, health changes, and concerns
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Provide infusion therapy
• Ability to preform sterile procedures such as PICC line dressing changes
• Perform assessments to determine need for care
• Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
• Provide instant medical care in emergencies
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families

Skills:

• Advanced IV skills and advanced port skills are a must
• Prefer experience administering IVIG, Remicade, Zemara, Entyvio, Aralast, Nulojix, Ocrevus, Solaris, Lupron, Crysvita, Somatuline, Sandostatin, and Ilaris
• Must have excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Excellent knowledge of emergency care
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Responsible and compassionate
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Patient with excellent problem-solving skills

Requirements:

• Current unrestricted RN license in state of Texas
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance and reliable transportation
