Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center is a thriving specialty and emergency practice established in 2010, with specialties including Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Exotics and Surgery. We are seeking experienced veterinary technicians to join our emergency and specialty teams. The Inpatient ER team at Pieper Veterinary is a dynamic and cohesive group of skilled Technicians and Assistants.

The Inpatient Technician must be skilled and comfortable working in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment. This position requires the ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality of care or safety. This position gives you the opportunity to perform all the skills you learn as a technician, as well as new and advanced skills. Technicians at Pieper can expect to grow with the hospital. As we keep up to date on the most innovative medicine, so will you. Provide the highest level of nursing care and know that you made a difference in all the pets lives you worked with.

Pay: $20 - $35 / hour depending on level of experience, education, and certification/licensing. Shift differentials available depending on the shift.

• This position does require availability for weekend rotations.

A significant portion of this role revolves around:

• Monitoring vitals
• Medicating
• Providing care to any hospitalized patient ranging from basic to intensive
• Maintaining communication with your team.

The must-have skills:

• Venipuncture
• IV Catheter placement
• Full proficiency in anesthesia monitoring from induction to recovery
• Basic medical math
