The Inside Account Manager- Key Accounts is responsible for being the voice of the customer and suppliers and advocating for any changes or needs they may have. This individual is responsible for coordinating, communicating, and negotiating cost recovery activities. This position is perfect for an individual with a passion for sales and being the spokesperson for customers/suppliers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- VOS/VOC advocate at factory
- Coordination and communication of recovery plans
- Negotiation of Cost Recovery Activities
- Management of Supplier Change Requests (Design)
- Customer Scorecard Reporting to Thomson
- Advocacy and management of VAVE & Process Improvements
- Forecast Consolidation / Communication (PSI)
- Engineering Design Change Request (Deviations/PPV/VAVE)
- Reporting of Vendor Managed Inventory/Tooling
- Customer calls/visits (OTD, PD, Quality, New Projects)
Representative Decisions
- Effective organizational navigation and management to determine appropriate escalation and communication of requirements and proposed solutions
- Identification or assistance with root cause analysis on prevailing customer issues for continuous improvement
Expected Outcomes
- Strong internal relationships to drive improved customer scorecard assessments and delivery of real time customer feedback
- Excellent customer engagement to bolster confidence in existing business via periodic reporting, recovery plans and status updates
- Effective project management to drive completion of product design and cost reduction changes
- Coordination with Field Sales and customer service to ensure accurate and timely communication and action
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business and 5 years Inside Sales and/or Customer Service related experience or 10+ years of Insides Sales and/or Customer Service related experience
- Proven ability to sell at multi-level complex OEM accounts incorporating technical application-selling and complex contract negotiations over long selling cycles
- Proven ability to successfully penetrate and develop new OEM customers
- Proven ability to manage and sustain long-term business relationships with OEM accounts
