The Regional Account Associate is responsible for augmenting sales growth in coordination with account managers by developing sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; conducting sales call and tradeshow follow-up; triaging lead generation, and conducting market and competitive research. The Regional Account Associate will also provide support for the CRM through data management and report generation and assist account managers in identifying and securing clients for sales visits. The regional account associate interacts with new prospects and existing
customers primarily through phone or electronic communication.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identify New Prospects:
- Assist sales manager with creating and implementing a lead scoring system.
- Build and expand the customer CRM database by triaging, qualifying, and segmenting new leads generated at tradeshows, meetings, or sales calls.
- Primary point of contact for sales team follow-up on kit requests or other leads generated through the clinical GC network, and business development. Communicate with relevant account manager as necessary.
- Implement and monitor SEO.
- Attend tradeshows and manage booth for company identifying and tracking leads from show.
- Assist Account Managers:
- Assist with follow-up items as requested by the account manager following a sales call.
- Follow-up on leads generated through marketing campaigns and webinars. Keep account managers informed of major leads within their territories for possible in-person sales call.
- Assist with identifying and securing customers for sales visits in regions the account manager will be visiting in order to double the number of sales calls per sales trip.
- Research potential clients and analyze lead data in the CRM.
- Perform outbound sales contact for customers with quarterly sales less than $20K.
- Market and Competitor Research:
- Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends.
- Maintain CRM and other databases to identify client and prospect intel gleaned from sales calls, tradeshows, and other inquiries/comments made through the GC network.
- Monitor changes in the genetic testing industry. Provide executive summaries as requested.
- Conduct market research on product development and business models as requested.
- CRM Support:
- Identify areas of improvement within the CRM via client data tracking and usage.
- Maintain media and public relations contacts in the CRM database.
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with customers at all levels within an organization.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and editing skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

- Visual acuity is necessary to view the computer screen and develop advertising.
- Hearing acuity is necessary to hear the telephones.
- Standing for up to 50 minutes during each hour is necessary in order to perform marketing tasks at meetings. Sitting for up to 50 minutes of each hour is necessary in order to perform computer related tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- The Regional Account Associate will work within a standard office environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sales and or marketing preferred.
Salary Range:
$40,000.00 - $60,000.00
The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms, conditions, and eligibility requirements of the applicable plans.
