TriStarr's client, a busy insurance firm centrally located in Lancaster, is looking for an Insurance Customer Service/Financial Representative on a temp-to-hire basis. The Insurance Customer Service/Financial Representative holds a key role in supporting customers to ensure accuracy and great customer service, while also assisting the company's controller with various functions.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
TriStarr's client, a busy insurance firm centrally located in Lancaster, is looking for an Insurance Customer Service/Financial Representative on a temp-to-hire basis. The Insurance Customer Service/Financial Representative holds a key role in supporting customers to ensure accuracy and great customer service, while also assisting the company's controller with various functions.
Duties include:
- Answer policyholder telephone calls, providing accurate information pertaining to premium, coverage, and benefits.
- Process various policy changes including but not limited to name, address, phone number, benefits, premium payment, ownership, termination, and premium refunds.
- Maintain current and thorough files including computer, scanned, and paper files.
- Run monthly delinquency/lapse reports for list-billed policies and process terminations of delinquent policies.
- Assemble and issue duplicate insurance policies upon loss or destruction of original.
- Calculate policy cash values and/or loan values upon policyholder request or death of Insured.
- Scan and assemble monthly agent commission statements and checks.
- Assist Controller for Financial Reporting-Lancaster Division with: Banking deposits, Accounts Payable, Monthly Accounting, Reporting, and Reconciliations
- Perform other duties and/or participate in special projects and committees as assigned
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree in finance or business preferred.
- Must have 2 years of experience in office or insurance administration
- Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Must possess time management, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Must be able to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to multitask while maintaining attention to details.
- Not required, but considered a plus if candidate has a Life and health insurance license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Ability to work in a small office environment and maintain a high level of confidentiality
This full-time opportunity offers 37.5 hours a week and a comprehensive benefits package upon permanent hire!
JOB TYPE: Temp to Hire
HOURS: 8am to 5pm (1 hr lunch) Mon-Thur, 8am-2:30pm (1 hr lunch) Fri
PAY RATE: $20-22/hr
DRESS CODE: Business Casual
