THE OPPORTUNITY

The Insurance Verification Representative is an integral part of the Revenue Cycle Team. This position is vital to our mission to give every kid a healthy, giggly smile and will be laser-focused on ensuring that proper insurance are verify and processed prior to patient’s appointments to ensure a smooth and efficient visit for the patients.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains patient demographic information and data collection systems
• Call insurance companies to verify dental insurance breakdown for upcoming appointments, when needed.
• Review patient deductibles and benefit breakdown, and update the information in Dentrix, provided to by the front office team for all locations.
• Assist front office and internal team members in understanding carrier websites and verification of eligibility.
• Utilize payer web portals to obtain patients current insurance information and update the information in Dentrix.
• Able to work independently from assigned task, and build a partnership/relationship with your assign front office team.
• Use, protect, and disclose patient’s protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
• Work and manage iSpace dashboard to ensure that patient’s insurance is up-to-date.
• Manage all Insurance Verification Hubspot tickets and ensure that it is resolve within 24-48 hours by priority status.
• Ability to troubleshoot and accurately entering data. Must be able to understand and explain insurance coverage when needed.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
