The Internal Auditor - IT is accountable for the execution and is responsible for the review of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities which includes the collection, organization, and preparation of SOX workpapers, specifically as they relate to IT General Controls (ITGCs). The Internal Auditor - IT is also accountable for the execution and is also responsible for the review of other information technology, financial, operational, or compliance audits as necessary. Additionally, they assist in the execution of Internal Audit strategic planning activities, identification of significant business risks, and evaluation of the Company’s internal control structure.

1. Assesses ITGC design and develops ITGC testing procedures to determine the operating effectiveness of internal controls.
2. Reviews required process documentation and performs/documents independent testing of key controls. Identifies control gaps or other issues in conjunction with SOX compliance activities.
3. Develops partnerships with Process Owners and the Company’s independent auditors to obtain documentation and communicate results as necessary.
4. Reviews and communicates testing results.
5. Assists in the planning and execution of information technology, financial, operational, and compliance audits as necessary.
6. Assists in the identification of business objectives, risks, and mitigating controls. Assists in the preparation and development of audit plans and related scoping activities.
7. Assists in evaluating audit observations, drafting recommendations, and facilitating appropriate corrective actions.

Qualifications - External

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Management Information Systems required.
2. 1-3 years relevant professional experience required; experience in public accounting or comparable internal audit experience preferred.
3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation preferred.
4. Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, required.
5. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships as well as collaborate in a team environment required.
6. Strong critical thinking and problem resolution skills, inquisitive, and capable of root cause identification.
7. Solid understanding of process flows and audit/ITGC concepts/standards/practices with ability to identify process and control gaps.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
9. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
10. Knowledge of Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAATs) preferred.
11. Knowledge of retail industry preferred.
12. Experience with SAP preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56,700.00 - $80,179.00 per year
