Job description

Oberlin Filter is currently looking to hire an Inventory Controller to join our team. Please see below for more information about the position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Operates equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Follow continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards
• Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner (FIFO)
• Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects.
• Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom employees or shop employees regarding inventory procedures
• Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
• Pack/unpack items to be stocked on shelves in inventory stockroom

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Requires a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Critical thinking & problem solving skills
• Understand written and verbal English
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day
• Age 18 or older
• Ability to use basic hand tools
