Job Description
The Manager of Asset Inventory Management is responsible for the overall inventory management of Olympus’ Demo assets. From quality and efficient end-to-end movement for all Demo Assets, from warehouse receipt to order shipment, to support all orders related to Sales and Non-Sales activities. This includes the oversight of Analysis of Asset conditions, Analysis of Stagnate inventory, Asset Turnover, Equipment obsolescence, Asset Inspection/Repair within the Repair Center, Coordination of FSE inspections, and Asset availability/fulfillment. The incumbent will be responsible for the handling of escalated issues and perform root cause analysis to identify areas of improvement as well as implement the necessary enhancements. This position will drive compliancy within the group of defined company policies and procedures, as it pertains to Olympus’s field inventory assets. Overall, the Manager is accountable to provide support to Olympus asset requestors and serve as a central point of contact for any inventory related issues or concerns. In addition, this position works directly with all Product Managers, Supply & Demand, Inventory Planning and SCM Operations for the roll out of new products and programs, reporting, and process flow.
Job Duties
- Directly manage a team of Inventory Management coordinators and inventory support roles to ensure accurate efficient operations and management of equipment and procedures.
Monitor inventories turn rates and report updates. Evaluate inventory levels against targets and collaborate with Inventory analysts to recommend dispositions.
Fosters high performance culture, focused on engagement, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Own inventory management process from end-to-end. Addressing daily escalations and provide resolution in a timely manner. Finally facilitate root cause analysis for inventory shortages/overages and proactively work with PLC team to identify proper inventory level and disposition strategies.
Responsible to continuously align dept processes with internal Business and Asset Management strategies.Accountable to lead Inventory Management activities and drive execution while enabling the organization’s Core Values.
Build strong relationships and collaboration, managing trusted stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
Collaborate with regional counterparts, as well as cross functionally, within the department to maintain a cohesive standard operating processes.
Work with leadership to develop business metrics and KPIs to provide visibility to department objectives.
Understand and educate team on system process, policies, regulations, and Business Unit expectations to improve organizational abilities and minimize constraints.
Work with Product Managers and Marketing on new Tower builds, from concept through event availability. Maintain oversight of logistics activities with OCA SCM and Transportation as support of Tower Program.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred and 4 years of relevant experience in related fields of Inventory Control/asset management.
- Experience may substitute for degree for a minimum of 6 years combined education/experience.
* Experience*: Direct experience leading teams is required. A minimum of 5 years is preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
Ability to use ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
- Direct Salesforce experience preferred.
Coaching, educating, and empowerment skills, strong excel and report development skills preffered.
Broad perspective, ability to see beyond the boundaries of responsibilities or function.
