Role
Robo Retail is looking for a highly motivated, well-organized individual who is driven to understand how things work and apply that knowledge in the development of cutting-edge digital experiences that can only exist by combining electronic and software systems. This position will play a key role in our product development pipeline helping the team bring to life smart connected products for our clients.
Responsibilities

- Designs efficient, reusable, and reliable hardware design
- Understand and translate business needs into actionable items for development teams
- Working closely with other team members to develop world class solutions
- Gathers appropriate information and continually improves analyst processes through application of best practices
- Quickly learns and applies new technical skills, processes, methodologies
- Plans for technical dependencies, provides appropriately timed task estimates, and tracks progress toward goals
- Communicate effectively to a broad audience including technical staff to senior management
- Participates in full project development lifecycle
- Active participant in a distributed development team using an Agile methodology
- Ownership of requirements process
- Ensures solutions are architected to improve data quality and analytics
- Proactively identifies opportunities to improve current digital solutions or processes
- Identify and escalate issues and risks early to minimize impact to business
Qualifications
- Familiar with automotive interfaces (e.g. CAN, LIN, etc.)
- Experience in specialized complex Hardware and Embedded Software systems
- Working knowledge of industry standard interfaces (e.g. LVDS, DDR, PCI, I2C and Ethernet, etc.)
- Excellent hardware and software debugging skills
- Motivated and self-starter
- Collaboration and leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Development of requirements based on product features and business wants
- Ability to work with multiple teams across multiple disciplines
- Basic understanding of software and electrical concepts
- Strong understanding of Models Based Systems Engineering
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
- To conceptualize, design and deliver product/sustenance delivery through the team as per defined scope and standards in a particular technology
- Support SME’s in architectural and design reviews
- Strong understanding of Controller Area Network (CAN) messaging and electrical implementation
- Understanding of WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Cellular technologies
- Experience in prototyping and testing of electrical/hardware designs
- Ability to design and implement algorithms based on requirements
- Ability to work with vendors to understand documentation of product
- Hardware integration (automotive is preferred but not required)
Preferred Qualifications.
- Familiar with PLM tools (e.g. Siemens Teamcenter, etc.)
- Strong understanding of software and electrical engineering
- Have worked on prototype vehicles
- Knowledge of RV-C, J1939, and NMEA 2K CAN protocols
- Experience with developing consumer facing products
- Experience with IoT/Edge devices
- Experience with connected vehicles and the CAN protocol and additional protocols like NMEA2000, SAE J1939
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of Technical Analyst / Systems Engineering experience
- Experience writing technica documentation
- Experience writing & implementing test cases
