Typical Duties
Supervises Massey IT Student employees
Ensures compliance with all data/drive decommission and documentation
procedures for surplus items
Is the single point of contact for all Massey IT equipment surplus
Backup for IT on-boarding and final computer configuration and personalization
for all incoming Massey staff
Collaborates closely with the Massey IT team and VCU colleagues from across
both the Medical and Monroe Park campuses as well as the VCU Health
System IT staff to provide exemplary customer service to our all Massey staff
and everyone within all Massey building and spaces.
Assists with databases development and workflow integration projects for
various Massey department initiatives.
Incorporating ITIL best practices to continually evaluate and improve processes
Helping to train Massey’s student workers

Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred

Hands-on experience as an IT Analyst

Training
Complete the SOMTech Project Management Essentials within 18 months
Complete ITIL 4 Foundations within 12 months

Ability
Able to anticipate and manage the tasks and/or risks within each phase of the project
Able to create stakeholder teams comprised of resource contributors
together to plan out in more detail what is needed to accomplish the business
objectives
Able to create detailed project plans to ensure successful project
completion
Able to mentor other Project Managers
Able to create and maintain Smartsheet Project Sheets to document scope, business
requirements, status and all other essential project documentation
Able to influence and persuade individuals and/or groups to common
ground solutions
