Duties

This position is located at the G6 in Phoenix, Arizona. The primary purpose of this position is to provide expertise in cybersecurity policy and process development; conducting audits to validate compliance; responsible for the risk management framework and ensures systems are operated and maintained IAW AR 25-2 and all applicable command, DA, JS and DOD security directives and procedures.

  • Incumbent must complete appropriate training and obtain required certifications IAW DoDI 8140, DOD 8570.01M or applicable governing document(s) for Cyber workforce as an IA Technician Level.
  • Must obtain, or be able to obtain, DoD 8570 Compliance as an IAM II within six months (CAP, CASP+, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO, HCISPP).
  • Must complete the EPO ISSO: 40 hour course and approval via ARCYBER within three months.
  • Possess a working knowledge of all Trellix offerings and implementation plan to all 8 products.
  • Must complete the EMASS ISSM: 40 hour basic course within six months.
  • Must possess an understanding of the NIST RMF process.
  • Must have a fundamental understanding of Gabriel Nimbus; access to Joint Organization cyber combatant tools and a background on configuring or interpreting Kanbam dashboards.
  • Must possess an in-depth understanding on Army Regulation (AR) 25-2 and all other supporting DOD regulations, policies, and guidelines.
  • Advanced scripting knowledge in Powershell, NASL, PASL, and OpenVAS to conduct vulnerability scans.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months IT experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization. IT experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. IT experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. IT experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion.

1. Ability to serve as an Information Technology Specialist providing Cybersecurity for a state National Guard headquarters.

2. Skill to coordinate with Program Information System Security Managers and Organizational Information System Security Officer at other locations to verify or clarify information pertinent to cybersecurity/Information Assurance procedures.

3. Knowledge to maintain an operational knowledge base of past, current and possible future threats to the security posture by attending courses, conferences, seminars, online research, and information sharing between other Cyber Security/Information Security professionals.

4. Knowledge to operate within the DoD, Army and JS security procedures, operations, and practices.

5. Ability to ensure all IS and COTS/GOTS within the DODIN-A (NG) Enclave are properly certified and accredited in accordance with, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and configuration management policies and practices prior to installing devices/systems on the production ICAN.
