The Opportunity

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the IT department, including providing technology vision and leadership in the development and implementation of IT services and programs. She/He leads the planning and implementation of information systems to support business operations.

This position is responsible for the management of multiple information and communications systems and projects, including voice, data, imaging, and office automation, implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and overseeing and evaluating system security, privacy, and backup procedures.

This role is a “working Manager” position for a small firm of 150 Staff – a role that will be ‘in the trenches’ each day.

What You Will Do

• Oversee the day-to-day reactive operation of IT, addressing incoming user requests
• Partner w/business’ leadership in planning the strategic direction of IT department
• Ensure work is delivered in a complete, accurate, timely, and diplomatic fashion
• Define/Iterate/Enforce IT workflows, service level agreements, & related parameters
• Ensure alignment of IT services/projects with the mission and vision of the business
• Establish/Maintain processes/procedures to manage software & hardware inventory
• Ensure new and existing Staff/users are equipped with the equipment they require
• Analyze department business requirements to determine their technology needs
• Identify need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems across the enterprise
• Vigilantly assess/monitor efficiency of the entire network and systems architecture
• Ideate/Drive initiatives to remediate issues, and keep the tech ecosystem modern
• Manage the department budget; Interface with vendors; Document/Archive all work

What You Bring To This Role

• U.S. citizenship is required
• Must be able/willing to work 100% on-site, Monday to Friday, in Exton, PA
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related, is required
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience required
• At least 1 year of Staff supervisory experience required
• Relevant IT certifications are highly preferred
• Experience being responsible for enterprise-wide information technology, including infrastructure and architecture, applications support and development, networks, telecommunications, vendor management, sourcing, project management, and security
• Experience upgrading platforms, including from on-site to cloud-based applications
• Experience leading and/or participating in IT-related projects
• Ability to multitask, with a keen eye on details
• Strong proficiency with MS SharePoint required
• Previous experience with scripting (ex. PowerShell or Perl)
• Strong knowledge of Windows DOS/XP/7/8/10 required
• Experience with Windows Server Administration 2003R2/2008R2/2012R2/2016
• Working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and NET Frameworks
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, jQuery, SQL Server, and Web Services

Physical Requirements

• This role involves sitting/walking/bending, & ability to operate various equipment.
• Occasional lifting and carrying items up to 50 or more pounds
