How you'll contribute:
As an IT Solution Owner VA ALM Hedging Project Delivery, you'll be a key member in the Variable Annuities (VA) Hedging & Investments IT Delivery team; and will be responsible for supporting the management of portfolio of technology and business initiatives for VA Hedging. This role will work closely with quantitative services business counterparts as well as technology for project management and some level of business analysis to deliver on key business initiatives. Good communication skills, ability to deliver in a high paced agile environment and forge relationships is key to success in this role.

In this role, you'll get to:
- Manage delivery of VA Hedging initiatives through end-to-end planning of requirement, development, testing, and rollouts.
- Partner closely with quant engineers, actuaries, and tech developers to bring together cohesive project plans to deliver on key initiatives.
- Drive demand management activities like whiteboarding, initiation, planning to take a problem statement into a project plan for delivery.
- Use tools like Jira, Rally etc. to manage key deliverables and provide quality status reporting.
- Work with Technology Management Office (TMO) to ensure all required gate checks are performed taking an initiative from demand through delivery.
- Collaborate with shared services teams like architecture, infrastructure, security where needed to support deliverables.
- Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production
- Support a community of citizen developers in collaboration with product owner.
- Execute strategic roadmap of technology in partnership with business, data and vendor teams
- Serve as conduit between senior management and business partners, technology stakeholders and vendors
- Resolves project issues through direct action or escalation when appropriate.
We're looking for people who have:
- IT Project Management experience (7+ years of experience) preferably in agile environments
- Self-driven ability to understand, identify, resolve, and recommend options to solve complex business issues with technology solutions.
- Excellent communicator, conflict, and problem solver
- Ability to successfully interface and partner with all roles of technical solution stand up projects and programs
- Demonstrates a high-level knowledge of the architecture, data, and system dependencies that allows effective risk identification, mitigation and project management
- Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
- Experience with either Capital Markets or Insurance products is a plus
- Financial services or insurance industry experience a plus
- Experience with project management tools such as Rally or Jira
- In-depth understanding of application development and/or technical acumen
