- Provide technical support, in person, and via phone.
- Track support calls and client time using helpdesk tickets and billing system.
- Create and update documentation for all systems (Software, updates, backups, data flows, synchronizations, integrations, security access, etc.)
- Work on designated customer projects (prepare quotes and recommendations, build and deploy systems)
- Set up and configure new computers, printers, and other peripherals.
- Manage hw/sw inventory and maintain records for subscriptions / renewals / agreements.
- Provide training to end-users on how to use hardware and software applications.

- 2 years college or technical school coursework, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing technology support or training; working with students and teachers a plus.

EdAdvance, a Regional Educational Service Center in western Connecticut, is seeking an IT Support Specialist. Our mission as the RESC in western Connecticut to is to promote the success of area school districts and their communities. EdAdvance is also a partner in the RESC Alliance and works collaboratively with the other RESC groups to support state-wide initiatives. Job Description: EdAdvance, a Regional Educational Service Center in western Connecticut, is seeking a friendly, highly skilled individual to join our Technology team. The IT Support Specialist will provide onsite IT support for EdAdvance and it's clients. Daily responsibilities range from helpdesk and basic repairs / maintenance to creation of IT training materials and IT planning / documentation.
The IT Support Specialist works under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Technology. Standard shift is 7:30am-4:00pm, with an included 30-minute break for lunch. This position requires frequent on-site visits to schools. Regular and consistent in person attendance is considered an essential function of this position.
