POSITION: IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

COMANCO is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning and installation of new and existing personal devices and workstations; diagnose and resolve problems in response to employee reported incidents; confer with management to determine types of hardware and software required; install new hardware and software and maintain existing components; train end users in the use of equipment and software; perform general maintenance tasks; troubleshoot and resolve issues with user devices and peripheral equipment located throughout the organization; prepare progress reports for all work performed; and evaluate products for compatibility, expandability, and ease of use and support.

DUTIES TO PERFORM:

• Ensure COMANCO data is secure at all times and implement measures to prevent theft of Company data.
• Work from assigned IT tickets and document all processes with accurate data for future reference.
• Achieve computer system objectives by gathering pertinent data; identifying and evaluating options; recommending a course of action.
• Assist with administering and maintaining end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Provide technical hardware and software support to each authorized user as needed.
• Eliminate or reduce employee downtime.
• Assist with server administration and remote access
• Assist with print servers both virtualized and physical in an AD environment.
• Install software on company-owned computers ensuring consistency across all machines.
• Distribute software updates and patches and assist with planning and implementing hardware and software upgrades.
• Perform all desktop related tasks associated with new hires and terminations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
• Maximize use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering questions.
• Stage mobile devices for employee deployment.
• Assist with administering corporate web pages, blogs, and social media accounts.
• Perform various IT functions such as network administration, server administration, audio-visual systems, and telephone systems.
• Build technical knowledge and skills to create business reports and learn software programs to assist the company in reaching its business goals.
• Maintain current knowledge of emerging technology and determine if those technologies may assist the company in achieving its goals.
