Provides maintenance of Server and desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware/software solutions ans supporting internal IT Helpdesk.

CP Unlimited is currently searching for a full time IT Support Specialist to join our team of professionals in our Hudson Valley Division located in Brewster, NY.
- Modify configurations, utilities, and software for servers and workstations as required.
- Develop, modify and document network configurations to suit business needs.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues in a LAN/WAN environment. Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction.
- Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and processes first-in first-out based on priority in a timely fashion.
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot issues with laptops, printers, computer hardware and any other authorized peripheral equipment and perform remedial repairs as needed.
- Install, test and configure new servers, workstations, peripheral equipment, and software as needed.
- Serve as a technical resource to IT staff. Assist with onboarding of new users. Utilize helpdesk tracking software.
- Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment. Responsible for monitoring, operating, managing, troubleshooting and restoring to service any terminal service client, personal computers (PC) or notebooks, that has authorized access to the network. When the restoration is beyond the scope of access notify management.
- Returns defective equipment/parts to maintenance inventory, documents customer repairs, maintains and restocks assigned parts inventory to insure proper spare parts levels.
- Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software. Work with vendors and service providers to resolve issues with service delivery.
- Performs timely hardware and software upgrades as required.
To qualify for this position:
1.Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science with three years of relevant technical experience.
2.Experience with productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets, web browsers, etc.
3.Some experience with networking infrastructure such as routers, firewalls, access points and switches and their roles.
4.Must be flexible to accommodate employee schedules, often working non-standard hours and weekends as necessary. Must be able to travel to different locations.
