Position Summary: Maintain and support 250+ users in a healthcare environment across seven Kansas City area clinics. Must have excellent communication skills.

Position Accountabilities:

• Under the direct supervision of the Director of IT, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing hardware and software support to 500+ desktop PCs, laptops, and peripherals in multiple locations.
• The individual must be a customer service focused team player who is able to work independently, organize, prioritize, and follow-up on tasks.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide desktop support to 250+ users daily with issues involving MS Office functions, Windows 10, Virus/Spy ware, and industry specific applications for a user base covering multiple facilities.
• Provide setup, installation, repair, and maintenance of network printers and personal computers.
• Responsible for ordering, delivery and setup of computers and computer equipment to 9 clinics around the Kansas City metropolitan area.
• Assist in standardizing PC configurations and providing Hardware/Software updates including Operating System, Network Client, hard drive, memory, CD-Rom, printer, scanner, etc.
• Ability to logically troubleshoot common desktop support issues.
• Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Assist users in the operation of standard PC equipment including PCs, printers, and peripherals.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, creating and disabling user accounts and Windows Server Operating Systems.
• Familiar with Citrix Xenapp and Vmware environments.
• Provide communication on all escalated issues to management and documenting progress of assigned incidents.
• Responsible for providing after-hour support on a periodic basis.
• Perform miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

Education/Experience

• Minimum 2 years of IT/Desktop Support or PC Support experience working in a business environment.
• Ability to utilize computer operating systems utilities.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 environments and network technology.
• Must be PC literate and be able to support Microsoft Office products (Access, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to document work in progress. Strong troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work weekends and/or rotations as required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs on a frequent basis.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel from clinic to clinic.
• A+, N+ Certifications preferred but not required.
