JOB TITLE: Systems Administrators

SHIFT: 80 Hours Bi-Weekly, days, required to take call

BENEFITS: This is a full time, benefit eligible position.

Summary/Objective

The Systems Administrator plans, implements, and maintains endpoint and server hardware, operating systems, software systems, security, and related procedures.

Essential Functions

• 
  Configures and maintains virtual, physical, and cloud server environment.
• Configures and maintains virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and virtual app delivery.
• Performs daily system monitoring and analysis, verifying integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
• Maintains a secure environment by ensuring systems are hardened against modern threats and follow best practice security policies and procedures.
• Drafts and maintains documentation to include best practices, configuration guides, maintenance logs, equipment databases and operating procedures.
• Administers and secures mobile devices using Mobile Device Management.
• Troubleshoots and repairs end-user devices such as desktops, laptops, and thin clients.
• Monitors industry trends and makes recommendations to improve the security, availability, and efficiency of company systems and processes.
• Keeps the CIO, Director, and co-workers informed of system operational issues, testing, upgrades, security threats, and other relevant system-related concerns.
• Based on a rotating schedule, serves in an “on call” capacity per the IT On Call policy and procedures.

Qualifications

Experience

• 
  Two or more years prior experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role
• Experience administering a Microsoft cloud environment including SharePoint, Azure, Intune, and Office 365
• Experience supporting a VMWare ESXi server environment
• Familiarity with Citrix virtual desktops and applications

Skills/Competencies

• 
  Advanced experience with installing, troubleshooting, configuring, and managing physical and virtual Windows workstations and servers.
• Expert knowledge of server system applications and tools including but not limited to: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Exchange, VMware, and Citrix.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and experience presenting technical material to management.
• Ability to evaluate projects and products, and experience performing vendor analysis and providing technology recommendations.
• Thorough understanding of technologies and security best practices in a healthcare environment.

Education Required

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
