JDS Planner Job at Beverage Manufacturing Company
Major Tasks, Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule all semi-finished good production of OJ, Tea, Drinks, and other blended products made at the Bradenton facility
- Communicate with suppliers and coordinators to ensure minimum quantities including lead time for all raw materials are forecasted and achieved.
- Partner with finished good planners and coordinators to make schedule adjustments, and manage inventory, maximize efficiency, minimize loss and drive analysis related to semi-finished goods.
- Ownership of semi-finished goods inventory. Responsible to review semi-finished goods inventory daily, including variance follow up.
- Identify and troubleshoot product overages/shortages with the goal of avoiding disturbances in production and product processing
- Work with frontline employees daily to optimize/improve the semi-finished good scheduling process.
- Lead communications and execution related to semi-finished goods
- Communicate with packaging directly when needed as related to semi-finished good availability and planning
- Attend daily scheduling meeting with front line leadership within the planning and manufacturing functions and lead the discussion on semi-finished good planner
- Partner with JDS Operations Manager and JDS team to identify process improvements and scheduling changes to improve service metrics
- Maintain and track production data as well as analyze and identify improvements/optimizations
- Regular and predictable attendance at the work site
- This role requires regular presence on the plant floor
- This role requires occasional work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
- This role requires lifting up to 40 lbs. occasionally
- This role may require off-shift and weekend work
- This role may require some travel (less than 5%)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field
- SAP competency
- Able to prioritize activities and demands
- Understanding of supply chain and purchasing concepts, and the impact on operations
- 4 years’ experience with SAP and inventory control
- Strong analytical foundations for fact based decision making
- Strong understanding of BOM Structure
- Strong communications skills
- Manufacturing experience recommended
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications and advanced Excel capability
- Ability to develop and implement process improvements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
