Role

IFPI is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual for the role of Junior Content Protect and Enforcement
Operations Specialist. This role is based in IFPI’s Miami office. The role sits within the Operations function of the global Content Protection and Enforcement department, whose mission is to safeguard our members’ content online, across all time zones. The role will primarily involve discovering, analysing, and reporting online infringements of our members’ rights. The candidate will be expected to gain an understanding of the basics of copyright law and several types of infringing services. They will work with representatives from our member record companies as well as other units within the organisation, including the Legal department and the Investigations and Development teams. They will also be required to interact with business intelligence and other IT systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen eye for detail such that they can ensure the accuracy of operational data and be able to communicate in a clear and professional manner.

The selected candidate will receive training in specific technologies and skills, as required.

Requirements

The candidate should possess, and be able to demonstrate, the following:

• Experience of Microsoft Office Suite, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• An ability to produce reports, documents, and presentations as per business requirements.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and good working knowledge of accessing content online.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high levels of attention to detail.
• Initiative, enthusiasm, and willingness to undertake varied tasks.

Desirable

• Good knowledge of musical genres and current top / chart artists.
• Interest in technology.
• Experience carrying out internet research and ideally, some digital evidence collection.
• Previous exposure to basic copyright law.
• Experience analysing data.
