General Description :
Under the administrative direction of the Director of Instructional Services, the function of the Coordinator is to coordinate in the development and implementation of the school district’s K-12 instructional programs and grant writing needs. The supervisor stays abreast of trends in K-12 curriculum development and instructional aids and methods and represents the Director of Instructional Services in working with teachers to improve instruction.

Minimum Qualifications :
- Hold a state of Ohio Administrative Certificate/License.
- Administrative/Supervisory experience in curriculum and instruction
- Have five (5) years of teaching experience in assigned area.
- Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with co-workers, students and parents; cultural sensitivity and ability to relate well and effectively in a diverse workplace and with a diverse client population
- Demonstrates knowledge of instructional materials in the assigned areas; instructional methods in assigned areas; the teacher evaluation process.
- Demonstrates ability to: effectively conduct pre-services and in-service education in the assigned areas; evaluates instructional methods and materials in the assigned areas; plays a leadership role in development of curriculum and improvement of instruction in the assigned areas.
- Demonstrates ability to work directly with students, teachers, other staff, and parents at the building or district level.
- Knowledge of grant application process and writing of applications.
- Demonstrates ability to research and write grant applications for local, state, and federal grants.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines for grant opportunities.
