Lab/Studio Assistant Job at Oregon State University
This recruitment will be used to fill three part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Choral Librarian positions for the College of Liberal Arts at Oregon State University (OSU).
The Choral Librarian responsibilities include maintaining the choral library, entering new titles in database, filing, responding to requests from faculty and students for music requests.

Other duties include:
- Work with directors on music orders and copying as needed
- Provide folders at beginning of term and collect music for Chamber Choir, Bella Voce, Meistersingers, and University Chorale
- Assist the librarian from the Corvallis Repertory Singers to produce folders for CRS as needed
- Work with directors on acquiring and returning borrowed music from other institutions, and reciprocation for institutional loan
- Work with directors on music rentals and timely return
- Maintain needed office supplies
- Special library projects for holding maintenance
- Assist the choral area on other projects as needed
- May include OSAA organization, scholarship table hosting, recruiting, etc.

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
- International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Choral music & repertoire knowledge including:
- Music notation
- Reading skills
- Understanding of music repertoire
- Anticipated 10 hours per week. The student worker may be required to work up to an approximate 20 hours per week.
