Job Description

This position is located in our Shreveport, LA location.

Responsibilities of the Test Lab Technician include, but are not limited to:

• Assembly and installation of API compliant centrifugal pumps on test stand
• Flexible and rigid joint pipe assembly up to 36" diameter
• Connection of ANSI class 150# - 2500# flanges
• Mechanical shaft alignment via optical laser alignment tool
• Electric motor power connections up to 6600V
• API mechanical seal flush plan installation
• Handling and installation of small electronic sensors and equipment
• Daily operation of flow control valves (butterfly, gate, globe)
• Routine cleaning and maintenance of shop, tools, and equipment
• Daily overhead crane operation
• Daily heavy equipment operation

Qualifications of the Test Lab Technician include, but are not limited to:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry
• Possesses a skill set in fabrication including oxygen/acetylene cutting, MIG and Arc welding
• Has expereince in hydroblasting, testing different fluid pressures with pumps, centrifugal pumps, motors, and rotors.
• Has some assembly mechanic expereince working with pumps, centrifugal pumps, rotors, and motors.
• Is capable of operating overhead cranes/heavy machinery
• Has experience with mechanical shaft alignment
• Has experience with electrical wiring/controls

Shift Time/Overtime: Standard hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm/ Overtime and some weekends as needed

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
