A leader in the fragrance manufacturing industry has an exciting opportunity available for a Sample Lab Tech/Compounder.
Lab Tech is responsible for the batching of new fragrance formulations to support perfumers and sample requests.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS OF THIS ROLE:
- Follows safety and compounding procedures as in the Lab Tech Manual.
- Maintains clean and safe work area, and adheres to safety regulations, and procedures, understanding the hazards of handling the various chemicals
- Accurately measures ingredients using scales
- Records substitutions, overpours, etc.
- Compounds complex formulations accurately and promptly
- Compounds formulas for perfumers and sample requests in a timely manner
- Assists perfumers when requested
- Assists with inventory for Lab supplies and organizes accurately warehouse inventory to make sure supplies are available for 3 months
- Measures flash point for sample submissions
- Packs approved batches by labeling bottles
- Uses equipment that is in proper working condition and cleans equipment
- Stocks supplies and labels containers of raw materials from production
- Replenishes bottles with oils making sure to follow the Lab Tech Manual Procedure
- Completes end of day procedures including filing powders, repacking, and housekeeping.
SCHEDULE
Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm
