The Neil Jones Food Company is looking for a General Labor Worker at our Northwest Packing facility in Vancouver, WA. The Neil Jones Food Company processes superior quality, fresh packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. With headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 35 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.

Summary: May stack cases of product, clean barrels, perform general housekeeping assignments such as painting or breaking down boxes, or other general labor duties in a production or warehouse environment. This is non-exempt, union, part-time position (full-time during pack season, July – November, part-time the rest of the year).

Key Responsibilities:

• Stacking of cases of cans onto pallets.
• Clean barrels or break down boxes.
• Follows all safety and food safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Ability Able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to reach and use hands/wrists/arms repetitively.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and work extended schedule, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November.

Compensation:

The hourly union wage is $18.81.
