What it Takes

• The capacity to direct and inspire teams to complete landscaping projects such as planting, drainage, and others.
• Ensures that work is completed with good quality and in a safe and effective way.
• Assemble and lead the crew to finish the job on schedule and within budget.
• Inform the superintendent of any problems with job sites, job duties, vehicles, equipment, or employees.
• Work alone with the awareness of when to seek help.
• Express the needs, shortcomings, or worries of the crew.
• The capacity to adhere to spoken and written directions

The Skills it Takes

• Experience installing landscapes, installing irrigation systems, and working on construction sites for at least three to five years. Knowledge of plant material.
• Capable of driving a transit, taking grades, and grading sites.
• Proficient at using tools for landscaping, such as a grader or skid steer.
• Working knowledge of small and power tools.
• The capacity to operate a truck pulling a trailer.
• A current driver's license and a spotless driving record
• Able to respect and get along with team members. • Capable and experienced in managing a 2-3 man landscape crew
• Fluency in Spanish and English is a plus; strong communication skills are also a must; adept at resolving unforeseen problems that crop up on landscape site
• The ability to work overtime, on weekends, and during emergencies
• The capacity to adhere to and carry out instructions
• Basic computer knowledge

Job Type: Full-time
