Where you’ll work:
Set in the rolling foothills of the Blue Mountains, just minutes outside of downtown Walla Walla, The Inn at Abeja is a beautifully restored, century-old farmstead featuring surrounded by 38 acres of creeks, gardens, and vineyards. The Inn features private guest cottages and suited in the property's original outbuildings, each meticulously renovated with a unique mix of antique decor and rustic country curio, indoor and outdoor living space, and elegant amenities. With both a stunning setting and impeccable hospitality, The Inn at Abeja invites guests to marvel in the property's rich history while enjoying the modern comforts that define luxurious wine country retreat.
The estate is home to the award-winning Abeja winery and tasting room, overseen by acclaimed winemakers, Daniel Wampfler and Amy Alvarez-Wampfler. Tastings are available to the winery's mailing-list members and guests of The Inn at Abeja.

- Maintain and manage all aspects of the landscape operations including ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, groundcovers, grasses, soils, hardscapes, and water features.
- Manage preparation of soil, planting, watering, fertilizing, trimming, and pruning.
- Oversee management of the irrigation system including adjustments and repairs.
- Ensures all equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
- Follows all appropriate policies and procedures.
- Ensure the security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance and repair of all department tools, equipment and safety features are in accordance with established procedures.
- Keeps accurate logs of equipment tests, repair and preventative maintenance activities, and safety inspections and activities.
- Ensure all work areas are kept in a clean and orderly manner and storing all tools, equipment, and spare parts in proper location.
- Ensures timely and courteous follow-through on all guest and team member requests.
- Keeps maintenance and engineering storerooms and workspaces clean and organized.
- Responsible to complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Reports and addresses unsafe conditions immediately.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Must have a general understanding of landscaping.
- Must have knowledge and the ability to operate tools, hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situation.
