What you will be doing
Individuals within the Information Security role plan, execute, and manage multi-faceted projects related to cyber, cloud and data security. They are focused on developing and driving security strategies, policies/standards, ensuring the effectiveness of solutions, and providing security-focused consultative services to the organization. These individuals provide expertise and assistance to ensure the company’s infrastructure and information assets are protected. Individuals work on security initiatives/issues for a Cybersecurity functional area (e.g., Cyber Engineering, Data Protection Engineering, Cloud Security Engineering). They update, maintain and document security controls and provide direct support to the business and internal IT groups. These professionals work directly with the customers, third parties and other internal departments and organizations to facilitate information security risk analysis and risk management processes and to identify acceptable levels of residual risk. They also communicate and educate IT and the business about security policies and industry standards and provide solutions for enterprise/business security issues.
  • Lead cyber incident response engagements as a senior incident response leader.
  • Lead special investigations and Digital Forensics investigations.
  • Develop a strategy to continually improve and transform the SOC, threat hunting, and digital forensics services.
  • Support the Cyber Command Center with expertise, adding value across all Cyber and Information Security areas as required.
  • Serve as a backup to the Cyber Command Center Leader and/or the Cyber Operations Manager as required.
  • Focus on developing the Cyber Command Center services further towards maturity and automation.
  • Train and add technical skills to existing team members.
  • Produce metrics and reporting to accurately display the performance of the operations program.
  • Collaborate with Cyber Engineering, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence, Attack Surface Reduction, Data Protection and Enterprise IT to elevate AmerisourceBergen security posture to next level of maturity.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

What your background should look like
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Risk Analysis, Information Systems, Business Analytics or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field - highly desired
  • Typically requires at least seven (7) or more years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to Data Protection, Mobile Security, and Cloud Security functions and over five (5) years’ experience designing and deploying security solutions at the enterprise level.
  • Requires hands-on experience with security tools.
  • Requires Security Certification(s) i.e., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Management (CISM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Azure Security Engineer.
  • Strong computer skills in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs; working knowledge of applicable computer applications used at ABC
  • Exceptional analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of network solutions and systems
  • Adaptive, flexible, and resourceful individual that is results orientated
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple Data Security, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Security solutions
  • Ability to communicate and work across many disciplines, including C-level executives, external clients, technologists, developers, and non-technical business users
  • Ability to work well both independently as well as within a team oriented environment

  • This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
