As the Lead/Manager Modeling Services, you will have the opportunity to lead groundbreaking projects at MISO to implement a new Model Management System, upgrade our Energy Management System, enhance current modeling practices for the Day-Ahead and Real-Time Market System.

Lastly, as the Lead/Manager Modeling Services, you will present technical models in an understandable format by using your interpersonal skills and knowledge of power systems.

In one year as a Lead/Manager Modeling Services, you will know you’re successful if:

• You have a respected role and have gained credibility in the area responsible for maintaining and improving a portion of MISO’s models by understanding the end user’s needs.
• You have gained an understanding of how your group’s models impact dozens of other departments at MISO and how they use those models.
• You have embraced leading a group who, at times work remotely, and are spread among the MISO footprint.
• You have the ability to objectively assess the quality of models to ensure they are accepted and appreciated to the end users.

We are looking for a proven leader or an individual contributor with the desire to lead who also have:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering technology, electrical and computer engineering, electrical and electronic engineering or electronics and computer engineering technology degree, or related field.
• A Master’s degree in a technical field or MBA, is preferred.
• Previous energy industry experience preferred.

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
