We are looking for a Licensed Fertilizer Supervisor – Qualified Supervisor with extensive experience, excellent communication, proficient in the use of technology (General Applications, Outlook and Excel), experience in managing teams, and highly organized.

The supervisor is responsible for the application of various fertilizer and chemical activities on commercial properties. Will need to have a working knowledge of the different fertilizers and chemical applications, application equipment, spreader and sprayer calibrations, and how to use them safely and correctly. Will also need to be able to manage a team of Technicians safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Past spray experience in the commercial landscape industry will be given priority. The qualified individual must have at least 3 years of experience with a working knowledge of all forms of application equipment, spreader and sprayer calibrations, and fertilizer and pesticide applications.
• Follow on the job training and the requirements, employee may be required to complete state certification/licensing process.

• Must be able to keep and maintain all administrative and record keeping systems pertaining to fertilization.

• Maintains regular, dependable attendance and punctuality, and physical presence at the assigned worksite; must interact directly with people or objects at the worksite on a regular basis. Communications technology may, for certain tasks and under certain circumstances, enable an employee to effectively perform some of the work-related duties from home on a temporary basis.
• Complies with all applicable environmental health and safety policies, procedures and work rules, giving maximum effort to performing job functions in a manner that protects the health and safety of the incumbent, co-workers, and the general public.
• Performs other duties as assigned and which are deemed necessary.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

Required:

• High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalence.
• Needs to be Licensed Qualified Supervisor with Fertilizer/Pest in Colorado state.

Preferred:

• Vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an Associate’s degree highly preferred.
• College course work in Mathematics, chemistry, biology, or related science field.
• Two or more years of experience utilizing fertigation and chemigation practices.

Substitution:

• Education/training can be substituted for previous work experience.

Preferred:

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) but NOT required.

Tools:

• Applicant must have his/her own tools.
• MUST have a current driver’s license.
