About us: Rambo Nursery is a wholesale nursery specializing in annuals, perennials, groundcover, roses, and succulents, grown exclusively for Home Depot locations in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.

Our merchandising team works every day to display and care for Rambo product inside Home Depot stores. Rambo merchandisers are knowledgeable about plant care, answer customer questions and provide assistance right inside our Home Depot Garden Center locations

BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

Merchandise and maintain Rambo Nursery products in assigned Home Depot Garden Centers. May interact with and provide customer service to Home Depot employees and management. Provide store updates and reporting to Merchandise Manager.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:

• Build displays with POS material
• Keep product properly hydrated
• Keep shelves stocked with fresh and appealing product
• Keep all areas clean, swept, and presentable
• Organize and maintain backroom inventory
• Unload racks and store in designated area
• Maintain communication with manager, Rambo administrative staff, and Home Depot Management
• Perform daily reporting accurately
• Other duties, as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND TRAINING:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), preferred.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:

• Basic plant knowledge
• Self-starter, able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Strong work ethic; good attendance and reliability is a must.
• Creative, flexible and energetic; sales-oriented.
• Must have organization and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong relationship skills with store personnel and Rambo personnel.
• Excellent communication skills; must be able to communicate via personal cell phone, text and email.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

Able to read, write, and communicate in basic English preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Typical plant nursery environment. Home Depot Garden Centers are not completely sheltered, nor are they climate controlled so exposure to weather elements including heat, cold and inclement weather is likely.
• Work is performed in the presence of Home Depot customers and is expected to govern their work so as not to disturb, restrict, or endanger the customer.
• Skin and clothing are easily wet and soiled.
• May be required to travel between stores in personal vehicles.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 55 lbs. repetitively.
• The position requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, and reaching.
• May require working beyond a typical 8-hour day.
• May require weekend or evening work.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Employees are expected to present a professional image, both through behavior and appearance, to include wearing a uniform.
• Must own a dependable, insured personal vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
• May require driving between stores.
• There will be interruptions so the ability to refocus quickly and get the work done is critical
