Position Description:

You will be part of a 40–50-member team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality logistics services. The team has been recognized by the Navy and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program.


The Logistics Analyst supports all surface, non-nuclear ship classes and supporting Integrated Logistics Services (ILS) processes. Under the guidance of the Customer, we participate in the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure effective and economic support for NAVSEA ILS execution; gather and analyze information for highly complex product plans and program objectives, provide tracking and status reports, and support distribution and delivery commitments.


You will be a part of a small team that works closely with our customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality logistics support. Steve Romero has led this team for more than a year and possesses more than 25 years of experience supporting the Navy and is a veteran.

In this role, you will:
  • Assist SEA 21M in formulating policy and procedures for material management spanning modernization and repair for in-service surface ship fleet.
  • Assist SEA 21M in developing data driven tools and improved material metrics for material management spanning modernization and repair for in-service surface ship fleet.
  • Participate in planning meetings with government and contractors in NAVSEA.
  • Track action items and conduct analysis on projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Develop documentation, reports, project plans and may present briefings.
  • Develop and update Senior Level PowerPoint Briefings.
  • Plan, setup and ensure all SEA 21M meetings are conducted including securing conference room, updating calendars, documenting and tracking action items.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
The Logistics Analyst will have:
  • An Active Secret Security Clearance is required for employment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline plus 5-7 years of directly related experience in DOD / NAVSEA or other related program experience with administration, program analysis, and meeting support.
    • an additional 10 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with ship construction, modernization and/or repair logistics policy and procedures.
  • Expertise in Microsoft applications, especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel are required.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and PowerPoint briefings
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in organizational skills. Good time management organizational skills involve keeping schedules, delegating duties and working within limited time frames to achieve a particular objective.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 10%.
Additional Desired Experience:
  • Ideal candidate will have supported program planning and execution efforts for Navy contracts.
