The Transportation Dispatcher is responsible for assisting transportation with the day-to-day transportation operations for our Jacksonville Facility.

The incumbent will be the on-site contact person for the drivers dispatching and returning; as well as those on the road.

FT - 36 Hrs weekly 3 days a week, 12 hour shift/night, with option to get to 40 hours

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Dispatcher is to personally meeting each driver dispatching/returning
• Physically conduct pre/post trip vehicle walk around inspection.
• Verify and assist dispatching drivers with downloading/uploading of Trax scanning
• Track driver on Samsara, timely communicate delay to appropriate personnel/customer. (Customer Service, Transportation and Customers regarding route status and other required information)
• Maintain a filing system for DVIR's, other regulation materials, and assist with collecting load documents.
• Communicate equipment problems and follow up with communication to management.
• Assist in the safe operation and tracking of DOT electronic logs.
• Check all refer unit temps as required
• Verify returning drivers have cleaned off trailer, stacked pallets, write up all returns.
• Utilize Truck Builder to map routes

Must have great communication skills, verbal and written, be self-motivated and extremely detailed.
