Responsibilities

• Supervise direct care and medication aide team members.
• Assist with staffing, including vacation and holiday schedules, shift and work assignments. Ensure adequate coverage.
• Assists in the welcome and orientation of new residents.
• Ensures all admission documents are complete, accurate and received.
• Monitors documentation to ensure completion of assigned tasks and verifies that all necessary charting is completed prior to team members leaving their shift.
• Participates in completion of Universal Assessment Instrument (UAIs).
• Ensures resident charts are current and organized and required documentation is completed.
• Observes and/or follows-up on changes in residents’ conditions. Reports changes to physician and families; documents all actions taken.
• Functions as liaison with families, physicians, and related health care agencies regarding care/ health and wellness issues for residents.
• Foster teamwork and have a positive impact on team members, residents, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• A Registered Nurse/Licensed Nurse in good standing, meeting all applicable federal and state licensure, is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn computer programs used in the community.
• Previous experience in a healthcare-related community or equivalent preferably assisted living.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
