Machine Operator Job at Synchronized Services

$19.00 - $22.80 an hour
Responsibilities include:
- Under the minimal direction of a supervisor, set up and operate CNC equipment to manufacture parts according to the program, print and router requirements.
- Interpret drawings of machine parts to print dimensions and tolerances.
- Verify all previous operations have been completed as required by print and router and alert QC or supervision when discrepancies are found.
- Operate a forklift to move material and parts around the shop when required.
- Tend to shop needs such as emptying shaving hoppers when needed, adding coolant to machines when necessary, keeping hydraulic and way oil levels maintained and keeping shop floors swept and mopped.
- Keep the immediate work area clean and orderly.
- Participate and follow company continuous improvement activities, policies and practices.
- Other duties as needed by supervision.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Understand and operate CNC machinery.
- Basic knowledge of G code.
- Able to accurately read measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.
- Able to safely operate a forklift and crane to move material and parts.
- Able to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Able to follow written and oral instructions as well as communicate effectively in English as it relates to the job.
- Adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
- Able to read prints
- Able to read calipers and micrometers
- Able to do basic math such as trigonometry
- If they have some CNC experience or have completed or currently going to college courses on CNCs that would be a plus

- Certification \ Training: High school diploma or GED
