POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a Machining Clerk to join our Manufacturing team in Indianapolis. This position is responsible for combinating and capping cores.
**We are offering a $2000 SIGN ON BONUS for this role!!**
PRIMARY DUTIES

• Verifies the accuracy of the material supplied prior to beginning procedures
• Combinates and caps cores.
• Tests completed material for proper operation and accuracy
• Combinates A2, A3, and A4 systems
• Combinates, caps, tests, and reworks, if necessary, 20+ cores per hour
• Caps & tests other selective orders as required
• Performs all specialty combinating functions: combinates double control, triple control, selective keying, selectivity, control as operating key, 5E’s, Best Peaks, etc.
• Performs core installation & testing of outbound product
• Builds Cormax & Kaba cores
• Maintains accurate records of combinating transactions
• Performs stamping of keys and cores, cutting of keys and testing product
• Tests & packs product completed from the combinating machine
• Assists combinating machinist in running & maintaining machine
• Opportunity to develop into combinating machinist for additional support
• Daily 5S/housekeeping

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in an assembly/production environment preferred
• Must be able to use hands for seizing, holding, grasping, turning, etc. as well as fine manipulation: touching,
• picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred
• Basic understanding of math preferred.
• Lean skills preferred.
• Computer proficient preferred
• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
