ATI Aviation is seeking a full-time, first shift position opening for a precision machinist with experience on manual horizontal boring mills, surface grinders, Bridgeport milling machines, and engine lathes. Supplemental experience in honing and inspection [is a plus]. ATI Aviation repairs components from the field; this is not a high production manufacturing facility.

Salary: Hourly wage $23.00 to $30.00

Requirements:

• A professional, positive and team player attitude a must.
• Ability to adapt in changing environment and changing priorities.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and change out different fixtures.
• Set up and operate one or more machines to perform aerospace repairs and match parts to blueprint specifications.
• Follow blueprints, job orders, cmm repair manuals and written or verbal instructions for product specifications such as finishes, dimensions, tolerances, and holding fixtures.
• Observes overall operation and performs regular daily maintenance on equipment and work area.
• Able to handle steel and chrome plated surfaces.
• Proficient in use of calipers and micrometers
• Close tolerance experience preferred.
• Fill out production paperwork and inspection procedures as required.
• Report any problems or discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
• Maintain tools, fixtures, gages, and equipment in a clean orderly and safe manner.
• Demonstrate a willingness and capacity to learn more skills, including but not limited to CNC controls.
• Working in a tight tolerance environment ( +/- 0.001 to 0.003)
• Experienced with grinding chrome and nickel-plating a plus.
• Experience on Giddings & Lewis Fraser boring mill a plus
• Experience on LeBlond, Elliott 921, Lucas, Heald Red Head is a plus
• Aerospace experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• MUST PASS DRUG/ALCOHOL TESTING
