Description/Job Summary

Do you have at least five years of mechanical technical hands-on experience and are ready for the next step in your career? Signode has an exciting new (direct hire) opportunity for an experienced individual to fill a Maintenance Technician position for a global manufacturing company in Bridgeview, IL. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be an integral part of our warehouse processes and help keep our facility running efficiently.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of mechanical technical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
• Minimum of a High School diploma/GED, mechanical apprenticeship, and/or vocational school/technology certificate in mechanics.
• Experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
• Ability to read/use blueprints, hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, gauges, tools, and instruments relating to product quality and equipment repair.
• Good communication, organization, and housekeeping skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of applications.
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs, work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good working knowledge/experience/troubleshooting in industrial maintenance/repair, hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, and conveyors.
• Forklift, scissor lift, and lathe operating experience are preferred but unnecessary.

Salary: $31.00-$38.00 per hour (based on experience and skill set).

Shift Times: (3rd shift 10:30 pm -7:00 am

Essential Functions:

• Solve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in production.
• Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance work.
• Deal with incoming work requests and conduct preventive maintenance schedules.
• Communicate existing and potential issues with your group leaders and maintenance manager.
• Abide by different safety measures and policies.
